All donations are valuable

£5 will buy a child's school uniform (they cannot attend school without it)

£20 will feed a family group for a week

£100 will pay for a much needed operation

There has been no Government help since 2002. The Friends of MRCH now contribute to 80% of the daily running costs of the Home.

Funds sent to the Home by FoMRCH cover particular needs:

Food: the children live on a very meagre diet. Your donations could help add protein, fruit and vegetables.

Clothing: in particular school uniforms. Children are not allowed to attend school without them.

Medical care: even basic medicines are out of their reach. There are 47 HIV positive children. It costs £41 per month per child for drugs.

Extra staff: there are 14 care staff caring for 150 children, round the clock.

The most effective way for you to give is via our treasurer who is in constant contact with the home, monitoring current needs. Money is sent regularly at approximately 5 weekly intervals.

Christmas Cards

Each year we sell Christmas cards, chosen especially for FoMRCH. Last year the project was a huge success once again. Over the first 6 years card selling alone has raised a total profit of £11,000, all of which has been sent directly to the Home. A big thank you to everyone who helped by buying and/or distributing cards.

A pack of 10 cards costs £3.50. Members will automatically be sent 5 packs of the current design (style 8) unless a different order is requested. New this year you can request mixed packs. Each mixed pack will contain 2 of each of styles 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 only. Please contact our Chairman to place or alter your order.
