Health

The Clinic is now officially registered and so the nurse can claim more free medication.  In 2015 the floors were tiled and walls repainted. Almost all the requirements of the department of Health have now been achieved though there is always a problem of having enough drugs and medication available. A local clinic is sometimes able to help with supplies.

The qualified nurse (Leeta) cares for the 11 HIV children living at MRCH and any other children and adults who are taken ill and makes decisions about whether a visit to the hospital is necessary. She is part of the training team who visits the Community Resource Centres to give advice and support to the volunteer caregivers, especially in working with the many HIV children.

There is always a shortage of basic medicines, first aid items and antiseptics.
