Our March newsletter is now ready and it is with great sadness that we report of the death of one of our founding members, Paddy Cole. Paddy was instrumental in setting up the Friends of Matthew Rusike Children’s Home charity and was our Treasurer for many years. In addition to his financial expertise, we will remember him for his gentle humour which lightened many a committee discussion, and he will be greatly missed.
We welcome a new Trustee – Annah Mwadiwa. Born and raised in Zimbabwe and now a Methodist local preacher in the UK, Annah is bringing financial stewardship, governance and strategic support to our team. Welcome Annah.
Debbie Berrill, a member of our committee has just returned from a visit to the Home and we look forward to hearing her full report and we will be posting some of her photos from the trip on the website shortly.
