The December newsletter is here.
We are pleased to report that the coming of rain has broken the drought and reduced concerns over food security. There is also good news about exam results and further educational achievements of current and former students. In fact, there are lots of areas of good news in this quarter’s newsletter – do take a look.
However, the financial situation of the Home remains very concerning, with a reduction in places available to children and staff layoffs forming part of the attempt to regain financial stability.
Also, a huge thank you to Ben Rhydding Methodist Church for their fundraising activities over the last year. Their efforts are being used to install solar-powered heating systems at the Home so the children can have warm water for washing. And we also welcome Cambridge Road Methodist Church who have engaged to fundraise for the Home over the next 6months.
